A Tour of Europe
The third DIGITAL CONCERT presented by the Trinity Alps Chamber Music Festival
Sunday, May 31 - 11:00am Pacific Time/ 2:00pm Eastern Time
(8:00pm European Central Time)
Tickets: Pay-what-you-can!
Registration: Required, click this link.
The next DIGITAL CONCERT, the third in our series, will have a brunch-hour start time for our west-coast listeners, allowing for a special opportunity to hear live performances from musicians living in Europe.
The concert will be hosted once again on Zoom, and feature stories and musical performances by festival musicians tuning in from their homes across the world, including violinist Leonie Bot, who lives in Amsterdam and is a member of the Royal Konzertgebouw Orchestra, and cellist Jari Paper, who lives in Tbilisi, the capital of the Republic of Georgia.
The musical selections will include Piper performing music by contemporary Turkish composers alongside 18th century German baroque music. Ms. Bot will perform the Belgian composer Eugene Ysaye's virtuosic “Sonata No. 2 for Solo Violin", a work that frequently imitates and quotes the music of Bach. Festival director Ian Scarfe will bring the audience a vision of the canals of Venice, with a performance of Chopin's impressionistic and ecstatic masterpiece, the Barcarolle, Op. 60.

=====
Thank you for joining us, and for helping give musicians like us opportunities to perform. These DIGITAL CONCERTS are paying gigs for our musicians, most of whom have lost a significant part of their work and income during the pandemic crisis.
Any proceeds, beyond what the musicians are paid, will be used to seed a new grant fund that will help musicians adapt their careers to the quickly changing world of recording, online teaching, and live-stream performances. So please be as generous as you can, and help musicians get through this tough time.
