Violinist Heeguen Song and Cellist Peter Myers Perform Together in Walnut Creek

St. Paul’s Concert Series is excited to present the phenomenal String Duo featuring Violinist Heeguen Song and Cellist Peter Myers in a live performance at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Walnut Creek, California on Saturday, November 13 at 7pm pst. Violinist Heeguen Song is a member of the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra, and also performs regularly with Beaubliss Quartet and Ensemble Ari throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and South Korea. She was a prize winner at the Henryk Szeryng International Competition, Irving M Klein Competition, and Kingsville International Competition among others. Heeguen has studied at Oberlin Conservatory, the Juilliard School, Yale School of music and Rutgers University under the direction of Almita Vamos, Masao Kawasaki, Peter Oundjian, and Arnold Steinhardt.

Cellist Peter Myers holds the position of Assistant Principal Cello in the San Francisco Opera Orchestra, and is also internationally known as a chamber musician. He is the founding member of the Saguaro Piano trio, which won first prize in the 2009 International Chamber Music, Hamburg, as well as the cello quintet, "SAKURA". Additional to touring abroad with chamber ensembles around the world, he also performed as guest Principal Cellist with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra. He performs on a cello made by Claude-Augustin Miremont in 1876.

Located in downtown Walnut Creek, the St. Paul’s Concert Series offers monthly world-class performances to the local community for an affordable, donation-based cost. Average donations are $20/$10 students. All are welcome, regardless of donation.
