There’s something magical about preparing for the coming holiday season. Taking the boxes of decorations and lights out of storage and decking our halls with that special seasonal beauty fills us with holiday spirit. This December, our holiday favorites featuring choir and strings will shine that sparkling light of the season. The subtlety and drama of Vivaldi’s Magnificat, first performed by the chorale in our 1967-68 season is paired with one of our new favorites, Ola Gjeilo’s cinematic Dark Night of the Soul. Tim Takach’s reflective and sensitive work, The Longest Nights, will transport you to winters past and the hope of springs to come. All this alongside traditional carols that will have us all singing joyfully will be sure to kick off your holiday season!
