The renowned Catalyst Quartet brings to a broader audience works from the African American tradition of chamber music-composers whom history has overlooked due to their race or gender. This first of four performances includes guest artist and pianist Stewart Goodyear.

Known as an improviser and composer, he has been commissioned by orchestras and chamber music organizations, and performs his own solo works.
