Sing these memorable tunes and learn new folk and urban songs from Russia, with Elena Sharkova, a Russian-American conductor living in the Bay Area. A native of St. Petersburg, Russia, conductor Elena Sharkova is passionate about promoting Russian music. She has lectured extensively on Russian choral tradition and premiered several contemporary Russian major choral works outside of her native country. Currently Artistic Director of Symphony Silicon Valley Chorus and Cantabile Youth Singers, Ms. Sharkova is in demand nationally and internationally as guest conductor, lecturer, and jury member at choral competitions and festivals.
