Shower singer? 80s movie buff? Olivia Newton-John fan?
Come celebrate the fabulous Olivia Newton-John with a singalong film screening of her 1980 cult classic film Xanadu on Thursday, September 1st at 7pm at Oakland's super cute New Parkway Theater (near 19th Street BART) presented by the Queer Chorus of San Francisco (formerly LGCSF). Creative dress encouraged!
Two ways to participate:
- Never seen Xanadu before? You're in for a treat! Just show up, sit back, and enjoy Gene Kelly leading a 1940s song-and-dance musical with jazz-era show tunes and tap dancing alternating with Olivia Newton John's neon-clad 80s roller disco numbers supported by the singing of QCSF members.
- Die hard Xanadu fan? Bring your friends, dress up as your favorite Xanadu characters and sing along from memory! Brush up with the soundtrack beforehand if you want.
QCSF will not be selling tickets at the door. Our block of 50 priority seating tickets is expected to sell out, so reserve yours at qcsf.org today! GALA chorus member? Ask us about our friends and family discount.
