This performance will feature live renditions of composed pieces and drone performances from Hoyt’s upcoming album PEREGRINARI, due for worldwide consumption summer 2023. Hoyt has been collaborating with Honaker and Lloyd for years, with their contributions spanning multiple releases across ROSS HOYT’s discography. Leila Abdul-Rauf is a co-founder of extreme metal bands Vastum, Saros, and electronic/ambient trio Ionophore.https://thisisrosshoyt.bandcamp.com

Cecyl Ruehlen (b. 1984) is an interdisciplinary artist who grew up in the rural high plains of western Kansas. Many of his undertakings focus on collaborative efforts, chimeric instruments, prolonged projects and involvement with variable landscapes across the western United States. He melts feral actions and archives into a sonic ooze using an array of objects and recording processes. Whether working alone or collectively, relationships tend towards radical trust, technological nonchalance, exploded listening and improvisation. He has shown work in countless D.I.Y. spaces, basements, temporary performance zones, music venues and art spaces.

Michael P. Dawson will perform his electronic sound texture piece “The Song of Wandering Aengus,” based on the Yeats poem whose final lines gave names to two icons of early electronic music. (With much respect to Morton Subotnick and to the late Simeon Coxe and Danny Taylor.)
