Deborah Rosengaus is a versatile Mezzo Soprano having studied opera, theater, music and dance. She is known for her exciting, high energy performances and for creating memorable and endearing characters. With a uniquely flexible voice, as comfortable in Verdi as in Handel, she has delighted audiences around the world with her rich timbre and sparkling coloratura.
Ms. Rosengaus has performed across the US and internationally in such prestigious venues as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Disney Hall, Beijing Center for the Performing Arts and Santori Hall in Tokyo. She has performed locally with West Edge Opera, Livermore Valley Opera, Lamplighters, Opera San Jose, Island City Opera, Teatro Vision, Pocket Opera, Hillbarn, Los Altos Stage and Solo Opera. Recent roles include Jo in Little Women by Adamo, Ruth in Pirates of Penzance, Berta in Barber of Seville and Lady Catherine de Bourgh in the world premier opera version of Pride and Prejudice by Kirke Mechem. Ms. Rosengaus is also the recipient of several awards for her work in both opera and theater and can be heard on the soundtracks of several independent films.
