The Oakland Symphony's 2022-2023 season features six specially invited guest conductors of the new generation who will lead the Orchestra
Andrew Grams will lead the Orchestra on January 27 for “Rooted in America” with guest pianist Sara Davis Buechner. The program includes Florence Price’s Five Folk Songs in Counterpoint, George Gershwin’s Second Rhapsody, and William Dawson’s Negro Folk Symphony. The former Music Director of the Elgin Symphony Orchestra in Illinois, Grams served as Assistant Conductor of The Cleveland Orchestra where he worked under the guidance of Franz Welser-Möst.
