Motherland: We all have a connection to our birthplace, to where our ancestors came from. Perhaps we are nostalgic for a memory, food, a place in time, a sense of belonging. This is what motherland offers, to find our roots. Even when that homeland is far away or riven with strife, the pull is undeniably strong. In this concert Circadian String Quartet will explore this pull to motherland in string quartets written by composers from Iran, Peru, Costa Rica and Czechoslovakia. Music that pays tribute to their Motherland.
