Catch "An Autumn Afternoon with Raehann Bryce-Davis" on Sunday, November 7, 2021, 1:00 PM PST, as part of the Merola Virtual Recital Series. Please note that daylight savings ends on this day. The afternoon’s program will include pieces such as German lieder from Brahms, Schumann, Strauss, and Wagner, along with music by Margaret Bonds, Florence Price, and more.

Raehann Bryce-Davis has been hailed by The New York Times as a "striking mezzo-soprano" and by the San Francisco Chronicle for her "electrifying sense of fearlessness." Her 2021/22 season includes performances at Opera Ballet Vlaanderen, Théâtre du Capitole, The Glimmerglass Festival, LA Opera, Staatstheater Nürnberg, and her company debuts at La Monnaie de Munt Konzert, Theater St Gallen, and Teatro alla Scala. Bryce-Davis, a 2015 alumna of the Merola Opera Program, was the 2018 recipient of the prestigious George London Award at the George London Competition.

South African-born pianist Jeanne-Minette Cilliers has been called “a pianistic poet”, garnering rave reviews for her color-rich and imaginative performances. In high demand as a collaborator, Ms. Cilliers has performed in Austria, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Israel, Japan, Sweden, South Africa, Barbados, and across North America, including festivals and venues such as the Irving S. Gilmore Keyboard Festival, the Ravinia Festival, the Guggenheim Museum, Lincoln Center, and Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Tickets are $25 for individuals and $40 for households. A limited number of $80 VIP tickets are available that include a live virtual reception with Raehann Bryce-Davis. This virtual recital will be available for ticket buyers to view through November 30, 2021.

This recital is generously sponsored by James R. Meehan.
