Marin Baroque presents: The Door Opens…a time of renewal
With this new season come renewed hopes and goals, including the possibility of our being together again to experience great music. This performance and discussion open the door for Marin Baroque to return to our community.
Let’s welcome the change of seasons with musical selections from James Oswald’s “Airs for the Seasons: Spring – Primrose and Tulip” and other wonderful Baroque pieces by Dietrich Becker Heinrich Biber and Claudio Monteverdi.
You will learn from Farley Pearce (Cello), Yuko Tanaka (Harpsichord), Anna Washburn (Violin) and Aaron Westman (Violin) what jazz, rap and music from the Baroque period all have in common. They will play for you and talk with you about their musical choices for this performance. We will have time for questions and discussion.
