Vocalist, bandleader, and arranger Anna Laura Quinn will share her particular blend of contemporary jazz, well-loved tunes from the American Songbook, French and Brazilian music, and more in a performance at The Lost Church in North Beach on Saturday, November 26. Following the release of her debut album Open the Door (Next Level // Outside In Music) in February 2022, the New Orleans-based artist has been rapidly gaining notice as a “savvy vocalist and arranger with an appealing sound, unfailing taste, and expansive palette of influences" (Andrew Gilbert, Jazz Times). Joining Anna on The Lost Church date will be local innovator Nathan Bickart on keys, Ari Munkres on bass, and Marlon Aldana on percussion. Opening the show will be Bay Area singer/songwriter Emily Zisman, whose “playful vocals [and] down-to-earth songwriting “ (Lemonade Music) have resulted in accolades for her singular brand of soulful folk-Americana music. The Lost Church is a nonprofit organization with venues in San Francisco and Santa Rosa; tickets are on sale at www.thelostchurch.org.
