We're opening our 2019/20 season with a trio of concerts sung by beloved Merola Opera Program alumni — all now with exciting international careers. First up: lovely lush-voiced soprano Sarah Cambidge and our much-revered artist in residence, pianist Peter Grünberg, dazzle us with Wagner and Strauss — both Wagner's seminal Wesendonck-Lieder and Strauss's soaring Vier letzte Lieder (Four Last Songs).
Former San Francisco Opera Adler Fellow, and now about to make her Met debut, Sarah has recently delighted San Francisco Opera audiences in Rusalka, It's a Wonderful Life, and the Ring cycle, and debuted internationally as Chrysothemis in Elektra at the Badisches Staatstheater in Karlsruhe and Sieglinde in Die Walküre at Opéra National de Bordeaux — don't miss this chance to hear her dramatic voice in an intimate recital setting!
