Sunday, Oct 25, 3-5pm Pacific time For over 50 years, Lamplighters Music Theatre has created a new satirical musical based on pop culture and the music of Sullivan. This year, Lamplighters brings our original musical directly to our viewers! What happens when the Lamplighters' Gala Committee takes a little bit of "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel", a bit more of "The Good Place", adds the machinations of "Pride and Prejudice", then inserts Gilbert's characters singing new lyrics to Sullivan's music? You get Pride and Pre-Existing Conditions, or Holy Forking Murgatroyd, It's the 2020 Gala! An all-original spoof of recent TV shows and the timeless Jane Austen novel, our Gala is hilarious fun AND our largest fund-raising event of the year. 28 cast members, recorded at home or one at a time in our rehearsal facility, everything stitched together by our wonderful video and audio engineers while socially distanced, this work is a huge endeavor to create and deliver our beloved comedic musical art in an all new way.
