September 2019 marks the 20th Anniversary for the award winning Gold Coast Chamber Players’ Lafayette Series. This 2019-20 Season also marks the second season of regular concerts in the neighboring community of Piedmont. Founded in 1987 in the heart of the Alameda Gold Coast, GCCP began with salon concerts in private homes and continues to create this same intimacy in larger venues.
GCCP’s 2019-20 Season is a kaleidoscope of culturally distinct music with a journey from the USA to as far east as China. Complete with a rich assortment of traditional masterworks and music by four living composers (with some in attendance), GCCP concerts have broad appeal for diverse audiences. The season features artists such as legendary violinist Dmitry Sitkovetsky, Italian cellist Luigi Piovano, Grammy nominated Aizuri Quartet, and prominent members of the San Francisco Symphony.
The Lafayette series of five concerts on Saturday nights at 7:30PM is September 14, 2019, October 19, 2019, January 25, 2020, March 7, 2020, and May 2, 2020.
