Gold Coast Chamber Players continue their Fall virtual concerts with Bach Inspired, the second in the three-part series, Bach Shorts.
Bach Shorts consists of three one-hour, live-streamed performances that seek to connect us through an intimate exploration of Bach’s Cello Suites. Three leading Bay Area cellists partner with professors, composers, and musicians from around the globe for uniquely personal performances and collaborations. The series began September 13, with Bach and the Dancing Brain and continues on October 11, 2020, at 4 pm, with Bach Inspired featuring Jennifer Kloetzel, founding member of the Cypress Quartet. A graduate of The Juilliard School and a Fulbright Scholar, cellist Jennifer Kloetzel has concertized throughout the United States, Europe and Asia as a soloist and chamber musician. Jennifer will perform Bach’s popular first cello suite, paired with a world premiere by composer Elena Ruehr called Cricket the Fiddler. Elena will be on hand to share how Bach’s first suite inspired her composition and Jennifer promises additional surprises, all inspired by Bach!
The Bach Shorts series concludes on Sunday, November 8, 2020, at 4 pm, with Bach Connections.
Bach Shorts tickets are $20 per concert. Concerts are live-streamed via YouTube LIVE. The performance is available up to one week starting from the concert date.
