Maestro David Sloss conducts the Fremont Opera Orchestra in a fully-staged production of Tchaikovsky's timeless holiday masterpiece The Nutcracker performed by Yoko's Dance & Performing Arts Academy. The cast includes Felipe Leon as Grand Cavalier joined by Fremont Mayor Lily Mei and members of the Fremont City Council in cameo appearances as party guests. California State Senator Bob Wieckowski returns in his signature role as the mysterious magician Drosselmeier. This production was created by the late Yoko Young, nationally recognized choreographer and teacher, and is directed by Erin La Moyne and Megan Ellis.
