This final chamber program brings the Festival’s Music of the Old World theme full circle, beginning with the Hebrew themes of Prokofiev and ending with Brahms’s interpretation of Gypsy dances. Interspersed are Paquito d’Rivera’s jazzy Cuban woodwind quintet; Piazzolla’s infectious tango rhythms; and a double piano concerto written by a priest, who was the eminent composer of late 18th century Spanish church music.
