Mothers & Daughters

In 2020, E4TT performs our annual commissions concert on International Women's Day. The focus? "Mothers & Daughters," with three world premieres:
--"Matrix" by Bay Area favorite, LGBTQ composer Elinor Armer to poems by Ursula LeGuin and Rella Lossey
--"The Light Within the Dark" by E4TT composer David Garner to poems by Gini Lorant
--"Mother Love" by emerging composer Brennan Stokes to poems by Rita Dove.
==Plus "Rest These Hands" by Anna Clyne for violin and spoken voice, "Mother and Child" by William Grant Still for cello and piano, and "Ji-Dong-Nuo" for piano by Chen Yi.

Composers Armer, Garner, and Stokes will speak.

Musicians: Nanette McGuinness, soprano; Anne Lerner-Wright, cello; Dale Tsang, piano; with guest artists Laura Reynolds, English horn, and Ilana Blumberg, violin.
