Diablo Symphony Digitally Rings in Holidays December 17

Presented by Diablo Symphony Orchestra

The Diablo Symphony looks forward to sharing holiday greetings and music of the season at a virtual Holiday Concert to be presented on December 17 at 7:15 pm, featuring music recorded at the Symphony’s Holiday Concert held on December 15, 2018 at Diablo Valley College. Please join in via the following link to the Symphony’s YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7oMACiYBAI – an evening of inspiring and just plain fun music for the holidays is promised to listeners of all ages. Plan to raise your "at home" rafters as you join the Tri-Valley Repertory Theatre Broadway Chorus in a Christmas Carol sing-along conducted by Jed da Roza that includes “Here We Come A-Wassailing, “Away in a Manger”, and “Ding Dong Merrily We Go”. And celebrate the holidays – perhaps while tapping your feet – as the orchestra plays favorites including “Holiday Quickstep” by Charles Ives, “Traditional Slavic Christmas Music” by Leopold Stokowski, “Candles and Dreidels”, a medley for orchestra and chorus arranged by Kermit Poling, Mel Torme’s “The Christmas Song”, and “Sleigh Ride” by Leroy Anderson. The program begins at 7:15 with a special 2020 holiday greeting from the orchestra and Music Director and Conductor Matilda Hofman.
