138 years ago, the first women's educational institution, Ewha Womans University, was established in Korea by the late American missionary, Mrs. Mary Scranton. Thanks to the dedication and efforts of missionary Appenzeller, who served as its first president, women's education took root, and finally in 1925, the first music education institution, Ewha Womans University College of Music, was established.
