138 years ago, the first women's educational institution, Ewha Womans University, was established in Korea by the late American missionary, Mrs. Mary Scranton. Thanks to the dedication and efforts of missionary Appenzeller, who served as its first president, women's education took root, and finally in 1925, the first music education institution, Ewha Womans University College of Music, was established. In celebration of the 100th anniversary of Ewha Womans University College of Music next year, 2025, Professor Bai Il-hwan, a cello professor at Ewha Womans University College of Music, Korean traditional music performers, and musicians from Ewha College of Music who are active in Northern California, are would like to present a music performance titled "Beautiful Concert of Ewha; Giving Thanks" to Americans and Korean residents in the United States to express their gratitude for the many talented people who have come out of Ewha Womans University, which was established by American missionaries.
