A new show with a new Kinsey
"America's Favorite Dragapella Beautyshop Quartet," the notoriously raucous The Kinsey Sicks, brings their sweet harmonies and ribald lyrics in a new show called "Naked Drag Queens Singing" to the New Cotati Cabaret, 85 LaPlaza, Cotati, Monday, October 21 at 7:30 pm.
The performance is a fundraiser for Congregation Ner Shalom. It also introduces a new member of the singing group to local audiences. The character, Angel, is reputed to be the identical twin sister of newly retired and beloved Rachel.
According to the Kinsey Sicks, "Naked Drag Queens Singing” offers The Kinsey Sicks' trademark mix of gorgeous a cappella singing, hilarious drag, obscenity, and absurdity — with gasp-inducing political satire thrown in for bad measure. PLUS, the show features nearly a dozen new songs; the introduction of Angel, our newest demented Dragapella® darling; and a unique behind-the-queens view of The Kinsey Sicks unlike any that's been seen outside of our dressing room. Or a men’s figure skating afterparty. Or Vice President Pence’s shower.
“Ever have a burning question you've wanted to ask one of the girls — or the boys behind the girls? This show gives you the chance to scratch that infectious itch!"
While there won't be any nudity, the show's ribald lyrics may not be appropriate for children.
