CMC Mission Milonga: An Intimate Tango Salon
3rd Anniversary Celebration with Mira Barakat and Scott O'Day
Saturday, October 12 from 8pm–12am
Join us in celebrating CMC Mission Milonga's third anniversary, tango-style! Every second Saturday of the month, CMC and Tango dance faculty member Sonja Riket host a monthly Milonga (Argentine Tango social dance gathering) with a drop-in class and dancing to Tango music from the Golden Era and beyond. This Milonga series will include live music and dance performances by local and international Tango guests. This month features live music by CMC Faculty Scott O’Day, and singer Mira Barakat. Candlelit tables and wine make it a night to remember!
Come to listen and watch or join in the dance. All ages are welcome!
SCHEDULE:
8-9pm: All level class with CMC Tango Dance Faculty Sonja Riket
9pm-12am: Milonga Tango social dance with live music by Tango singer Mira Barakat and CMC Faculty Scott O’Day; additional music by DJ Ashvin
$20 General / $15 Students and Seniors for Milonga dance portion only. Additional $5 for the class
