Camerata Pacifica Plays Brahms, Schnittke and Prokofiev

Presented by Camerata Pacifica

Johannes Brahms’s friends and colleagues called it “marvelous,” “moving,” and “deep and full of meaning.” You can judge for yourself when Camerata Pacifica performs his elegant Clarinet Quintet, Op. 115 in its February concerts with clarinetist Jose Franch-Ballester. Violinist Paul Huang offers Alfred Schnittke’s moving Prelude in Memory of Dmitri Shostakovich. And pianist Gilles Vonsattel joins for Prokofiev’s deeply probing Violin Sonata No. 1.

This program is also performed Sunday, February 12 at 3pm at the Museum of Ventura County; Tuesday, February 14 at 7:30pm at The Huntington in San Marino; and Friday, February 17 at 7:30pm in Santa Barbara at the Museum of Natural History.
