The Calvary Chancel Choir, The Young Women's Chorus of San Francisco, and The San Francisco Academy Orchestra join forces in a special concert commemorating the feasts of All-Saints and All-Souls. Featured on the program is the exquisitely beautiful Gregorian-chant infused "Requiem" of Maurice Duruflé, one of the most admired works of the modern French Repertoire. The Young Women's Choral project and The Academy strings will also perform Poulenc's dramatic and ethereal "Litanies à la Vierge noire" and a new piece for the combined forces by Music Director Michael Conley, "Where Everything Is Music" set to the mystical poetry of Rumi, will be premiered. Reception to follow in Calvin Hall.
