A jazz journey through the Great American Songbook, Bossa nova, bebop, and originals
TonaLaura Jazz Duo is the musical marriage of the husband-and-wife team, pianist/composer Laura Klein and guitarist/composer Tony Corman. Laura's unique, lyrical harmonic sense and Tony's extraordinary arranging skills bring a rare richness to the duo format. For this special performance, they'll be playing a selection of tunes drawn from the Great American Songbook, bebop, Brazilian bossa nova, and their own originals. Laura and Tony are also the co-leaders of FivePlay Jazz Quintet, whose 2020 CD, "Summer Dusk: The Studio Sessions", has been receiving critical acclaim, and made several "Best Albums of the Year" lists.
This concert will be performed as a Live-Streamed premiere on Sunday, February 28th, and will continue to be available on-demand for ticket-holders for an additional week after that. Ticket-holders can watch it as many times as they like, whenever and wherever they like!
