Contemporary and mainstream big band jazz with a twist for the jazz aficionado as well as the newcomer. This concert will feature some of Dave's new music as well as long time audience favorites. An all-star cast of the Bay Area's finest musicians will be featured.

For over four decades, Dave Eshelman's Jazz Garden Big Band has performed in dozens of Bay Area jazz clubs, concert halls and festivals. The band has backed guest artists such as Mel Torme, Joe Henderson and Bruce Forman in concert and on it's critically acclaimed recordings: The Jazz Garden (1982) Deep Voices (1988) When Dreams Come True (1993) and Milagro's Journey (2001). The band recorded and performed the suite Temperature Rising (1998), commissioned by San Jose Jazz. Recent performances include the San Jose Jazz Summer Fest, the Folsom Jazz Festival, and Yoshi's.
The Jazz Garden Big Band features an all-star roster of freelance musicians from the San Francisco Bay Area.
