Noted for her performances as Turandot, Salome, Elektra, and a range of Wagnerian heroines, Nina Stemme is considered one of the greatest singers in opera today. The Swedish dramatic soprano was recently a recipient of the Birgit Nilsson Prize, the second singer and the only woman to be honored in the prestigious award’s history.
