Berkeley Symphony opens its 2019-2020 season with a historic debut by Maestro Joseph Young in his first appearance as the Orchestra's new Music Director. Maestro Young leads a celebratory evening of masterworks including Beethoven's triumphant Fifth Symphony, Ravel's jazz-infused Piano Concerto featuring audience favorite Conrad Tao as soloist, and a rare performance of Shango Memory by former UC Berkeley professor of music, Olly Wilson.
