Renewal: Springtime Works for Violin and Piano
Violinist Mijung Kim is joined by pianist Anne Rainwater for a lovely program of chamber music including Mozart’s Sonata No. 2, Brahms Sonata No. 1 as well as works by Faure, Kreisler and Debussy. A native of Seoul, Korea, Ms. Kim began to study the violin at the age of seven. Throughout her career, she has performed for orchestras and chamber ensembles in Korea, Japan and China; she is currently member of the California Symphony and the Stockton Symphony. Bay Area-based pianist Anne Rainwater is a dexterous musician known for her vibrant interpretations of works from J.S. Bach to John Zorn. Recognized for her “boldly assertive rhetoric” (San Francisco Examiner); she appears as a soloist, chamber musician and lecture artist.
