"Giant Shoulders: Music of the Civil Rights Movement" is a powerful, uplifting concert honoring the 60th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
AfterGlow Chorus will be performing inspirational music from a wide variety of musical genres including freedom songs, African-American spirituals, classical choral pieces, Gospel songs, jazz, and Motown classics.
Our very special Guest Artist will be the incredible, Grammy-nominated Dr. Lynne Morrow!

The concert is in Lake Merritt in Oakland, CA at First Congregational Church of Oakland. The church has great acoustics in a historic building. Street and paid parking is available nearby. It is also a few blocks away from the 19th Street BART Station.
