The spellbinding cello concerto by Anna Clyne, DANCE, inspired by the 13th-century Persian poet Rumi, will enchant you with its hypnotic and dreamlike melodies. The heart-stopping expression of cellist Inbal Segev will leave you breathless. Beethoven’s monumental Symphony No. 7 was called “The Apotheosis of the Dance,” by Richard Wagner, and is considered one of the finest masterpieces of the Romantic Era. Sound & Wine is an annual fundraising event dedicated to the Contemporary Music Players' contribution to the Bay Area's cultural ecology. The event provides an opportunity for our greatest supporters, donors, subscribers, and members to connect intimately with one another, as well as with our musicians, staff and Board members.
