The 11th New Music for Treble Voices Festival celebrates vocal improvisation through Circle Singing, featuring guest choirs Musae, the Piedmont East Bay Children’s Choir Ensemble, Vox Musica, and the PWC. Daytime workshops led by MOTION, Bryan Dyer, Tammi Brown, and David Worm explore vocal improvisation. A public Circle Singing workshop will run from 2–2:30 pm, followed by a 2:30 p.m. concert showcasing contemporary repertoire, including the PWC’s premiere of two movements from What Place is This? by the PWC’s Composer-in-Residence Amy X Neuburg. A solo set by the clinicians concludes with an interactive Circle Singing session open to all.
