SF City Chorus Auditions: Aug. 24, 31, Sept. 7

San Francisco City Chorus is holding three auditions for our Fall Season: August 24, August 31, and September 7--come sit in on a rehearsal starting at 7:00 p.m. and audition afterward. Our Fall Concert, on November 5, will include Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem and “Cantique de Jean Racine” and Benjamin Britten’s “Rejoice in the Lamb” and “Festival Te Deum.” The centerpiece of our Spring Concert, March 25, will be the Grand Mass in C minor, by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, performed with the composer’s complete orchestration.

Founded in 1979, SF City Chorus is dedicated to excellent performance of classical choral masterworks in a friendly and collegial community of singers. We are led by the esteemed artistic director Larry Marietta and accompanied by acclaimed organist John R. S. Walko. Our performances are highlighted by professional guest soloists and instrumentalists. We rehearse on Wednesday evenings, 7:00-9:30 p.m., at Lakeside Presbyterian Church, 201 Eucalyptus (at 19th Avenue), in San Francisco.
