The San Francisco Bay Area Chamber Choir (SFBACC) is seeking new singers, especially tenors and basses. SFBACC is an auditioned choir, founded in 1978 and singing under the direction of Scot Hanna-Weir. The choir has been highly acclaimed for its sensitive and exciting performances of extremely varied and demanding literature. Rehearsals are on Sunday evenings in Castro Valley. Plans for the coming season include a January 2022 program centered on Eleanor Daley’s “Requiem”, and a spring program of motets spanning five centuries and featuring Francis Poulenc’s “Quatre motets pour un temps de pénitence”. Rehearsals begin on Oct. 17. Further information about the choir and the upcoming season is available at the chorus website, sfbaychoir.org.
