Musicians needed for I Trovatori Opera 2015-2016 Season

Dear Music Friends

I Trovatori Opera has many opportunities for instrumentalist to play in our orchestra for upcoming productions 2015-2016. We need strings, woodwinds, brass, and timpani also singers for the chorus. We also need a person to do SuperTitles who can read music and follow the score. We are all volunteers at this point in time. For now we need volunteers and real music lovers. We have a great cast for our next production, which is NORMA by Bellini. You will work with a fine conductor, Temirzhan Yerzhanov who was on the faculty of the Moscow Conservatory and with 6 fine singers who will blow you away. We feature all local talent and you will enjoy playing some great music.

We have just received our 501C3 status. I will be glad to provide a statement for your tax return that you waived your fees as a donation. That being said, ALL rehearsals will be mandatory and we must have a full commitment from everyone for this to fly.  So everyone must reserve all the rehearsal dates and concert dates and be in your seat at the start time of all rehearsals.  All rehearsals are at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill in the Music Building.  Concert Venue will be at the Concord United Methodist Church, 1645 West Street, Concord, Ca 64521.  You will be sent the music in pdf format (so just print out what you need), mp3s tracks and any cuts in advance and you must learn you part before the first rehearsal.  We perform in concert format and you may use your score, but be solid in the music and not glued to the score.  Rehearsals are for run throughs not pounding notes.

Please reply and confirm your commitment to this project ASAP.  I have done my best to avoid your other rehearsal commitments as much as possible.  This is a short two week span of time and a compacted schedule as I know everyone is very busy and we have set the date early enough to avoid all the ChrismaChanukah Rush!
