The Bracebridge Dinner at Yosemite
Understudy Jester Role
We are seeking a talented performer to join the cast of "The Bracebridge Dinner at Yosemite," an elaborate Christmas-themed Renaissance dinner theatre production held annually since 1927 at Yosemite's world-famous Ahwahnee Hotel.
This non-gender-specific Jester role is a crucial part of this immersive experience, requiring excellent comic timing (clowning skills/training a plus), and strong musical theatre experience to engage and entertain the audience throughout the dinner. The selected performer will also be part of the Bracebridge Ensemble for the dinner and participate in the beloved Holiday Concerts.
Qualifications:
Vocal range: Tenor or Soprano
Strong comedic and improvisational abilities
Experience in physical comedy
Strong background in musical theatre
Ability to engage and entertain audiences
Rehearsals will be held in San Leandro, CA from September 29th through December 1st. The performance schedule will take place in Yosemite National Park from December 8th through December 24th.
Compensation:
Rate for understudies is $26/hr; rate for ensemble members is $25/hr
Room and board included during the Yosemite performance schedule
