Andrea Fulton Productions will be auditioning singers Tuesday, May 29th and Wednesday, May 30th from 6:00-10:00 PM for the 2018 season of The Bracebridge Dinners at Yosemite, a series of lavish Tudor Yuletide Dinners held every year since 1927 at the Ahwahnee Hotel (now known as the Majestic Yosemite Hotel).
Singers with classical training in all voice categories are invited to audition. Strong acting background is a plus. Must be able to read music. Rehearsals are held in the San Francisco Bay Area in September, October and November. The performance dates in Yosemite are from December 8th to 23rd - performers are in residence in the Valley during the run. Compensation, as well as room and board for each singer and immediate family are provided. Provisions will be made to accommodate the San Francisco Opera Chorus schedule.
Yosemite National Park’s Bracebridge Dinner has become a true American tradition since its inception 91 years ago in the magnificent Yosemite Valley. This spectacular Yuletide pageant takes place in the grand Dining Room of the Majestic Yosemite Hotel (formerly The Ahwahnee), which is transformed into the manor hall of American author Washington Irving’s legendary "Squire Bracebridge." Each December since 1927, the world-famous hotel takes on the air of seventeenth-century England. The Dining Room, aglow with candlelight, is filled with the warmth and spirit of this special time of year. The Dinner combines elements of holiday pageantry, theatre - both soulful and comedic - and beautiful music, wrapped around a multi-course, five-star meal at this historic grand hotel.
