Just last spring, there they were, among San Francisco Conservatory's graduate recitalists: violinist Solenn Séguillon and cellist Anne Suda. Including a former Conservatory graduate, pianist Teresa Yu, they formed the Aleron Trio, and in the short time since, they have been around the world, both individually and together.
On French-born Séguillon's third summer tour of the country this year, the trio performed in many venues. Séguillon — featured previously with both the UNESCO Orchestra and American Philharmonic tours of China — and Suda gave concerts in Barcelona, as the Aleron Duo. The trio played the Beethoven Triple Concerto with the Southeast Iowa Symphony, where they also spent a two-week residency, visiting schools and giving community outreach presentations. Seguillon and Suda will be soon featured as soloists in the Brahms Double Concerto in Illinois.
The globetrotters are returning to the city of their alma mater this Saturday at 7 p.m. to give a concert at Salle Pianos, whose proprietor, Tibor Szabo, had two sons in the Conservatory himself: Andrei, a pianist, and Alessandro, a violinist.
The Aleron program on Saturday: Brahms B Major Trio, Café Music by Paul Schoenfield and a movement from Piazzolla's Four Seasons of Buenos Aires.
