Young violinists, cellists, and even one violist from the United States' elite conservatories will once again be displaying their virtuosity at the Irving M. Klein String Competition finals at Knuth Hall on the SFSU campus this weekend. Ranging in age from 16 to an arthritic, nearly-ready-for-the-rocker 23, these musicians have a lot of performance experience under their collective belts, and a few of them will probably give performances that will bring you to your feet. Be there as the musicians compete for $12,000 in prize money and see if your opinion matches that of the judges. Semifinals are on Saturday.
