Bell, But More at the SFS

Joshua Bell

Sure, most people at Davies Symphony Hall for the San Francisco Symphony concerts beginning Oct. 21, will be there for superstar violinist Joshua Bell.

And he is a pretty exciting player, particularly in a Romantic era showstopper like the Violin Concerto No. 1 by Max Bruch.

But the orchestra will also play a trio of Antonin Dvořák crowdpleasers under the baton of James Conlon.

These include the often-played Carnival Overture, and the under-played tone poem, In Nature's Realm.
