Stanford's ensemble-in-residence is the St. Lawrence String Quartet, one of the great ensembles of its kind. The St. Lawrence's recordings have won the German critics' award, Canada’s Juno Award, and two Grammy nominations.
Next week, the group is presenting a one hour “musical journey” to help a new generation to appreciate classical music, and specifically to become better listeners and performers. Designed for children in grades 4 through 12, the concert is comprised of both a performance and an educational component.
