The San Francisco Press Club announced the 2018 Journalism Awards winners on Nov. 15, 2018, and SFCV was acknowledged for three stories written by Mark MacNamara and edited by SFCV Senior Editor Michael Zwiebach.
“The Extremity of Love: Wu Han and David Finckel’s Chamber Music Odyssey (Part 1)” took first place in the Newspapers-Daily, Profile category, and “Midori is in the Zone” took third place in the same category.
Second place in the Radio/Audio-Noncommercial, Feature Story/Serious Nature category went to MacNamara’s “In an Age of Ultra-Nationalism, What Happens to Music?”
