Once upon a time, long, long ago, Joshua Habermann taught high school in his native San Francisco, sang with the SFS Chorus, was mentored as a conductor by Vance George, became assistant and later acting director of the Chorus, went on to lead choruses elsewhere, and became director of the Dallas Symphony Chorus a couple of years ago.
Before then, Habermann and wife/fellow chorus master/ex-San Franciscan Joanna, held positions in Florida, Santa Fe, and elsewhere.
Now Habermann is bringing the Berkshire Choral Festival Chorus to Weill Hall on June 15, to perform with the Santa Rosa Symphony.
On the program: the Mozart Requiem and Bach’s Magnificat.
The chorus includes singers from 30 states as well as Canada, Singapore, Denmark, and Chile.
