Even a major opera star couldn't get away with the way Morrissey ("the End of the Family Line") has treated the Bay Area: He canceled four shows here in the past three years.
But now, fans of the elusive, former Smiths front man can be secure in the knowledge that he can't get away again.
Balboa Theater will screen the legacy concert film, Morrissey 25: Live at 7 p.m. on Aug. 29 and Sept. 3.
Filmed live during Morrissey’s gig at Hollywood High School in March, the film — says the announcement — "celebrates 25 years of the solo career of one of the world’s most iconic and enigmatic performers."
