Bay Area Pianists Come to the Aid of a Young Cancer Victim

Noted Polish pianist Joanna Różewska and two gifted colleagues are presenting an evening of cherished piano selections in a program dubbed “Music Against Cancer.” The concert is a benefit is for Różewska’s 10-year-old nephew Jedrick, who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma cancer. He needs a special treatment in Germany that comes with a whopping $170,000 price tag.

Pianists Jerry Kuderna (who writes for SFCV), Christyna Kaczynski-Kozel, and Różewska will play their favorite piano pieces to support this worthy cause. All money raised will be donated to Jedrek. A minimum donation of $40 is suggested. More, of course, is welcome. The concert takes place on Friday, June 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the Recital Hall at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
