The San Francisco Opera’s event to commemorate 9/11 was extraordinary, and San Francisco Classical Voice is honored to have been a part of the day’s activities. "Opera in the Park" not only provided an afternoon to spend listening to beautiful music performed by the San Francisco Opera and Orchestra, we also had the pleasure of meeting hundreds of music lovers, making a lot new friends, and spreading the word about SFCV’s efforts to build community around great music.
One of the highlights of the day for SFCV was being able to raffle off a pair of subscriptions to the Opera’s upcoming season, and we are thrilled to announce that Philippe Cumia has been drawn as the winner.
In addition to Philippe Cumia, we are also pleased to announce that Leslie Wallach and Elena Huel will each win a CD by Bay Area resident and pianist-extraordinaire, Garrick Ohlsson.
While we congratulate our three winners, we also want to make sure everyone else knows that there are two more opportunities in the coming weeks for Bay Area music lovers to win free tickets from San Francisco Classical Voice!
First, SFCV is serving as a Media Partner for Cal Performances’ Fall Free for All, on Sunday, Sept. 25. This free, daylong celebration of music and the arts on the UC, Berkeley campus is sure to be a hit. We will be on hand raffling off a pair of tickets to an upcoming concert by the world-renowned Mariinsky Orchestra presented by Cal Performances.
Second, on that same day, we’ll be back at AT&T Park for Opera at the Ballpark, where we’ll be giving away another pair of subscriptions to the San Francisco Opera.
We hope you will fill that Sunday with great music and visit us at both events! Come by, say hi, and enter to win.
And just so you know, you can always experience great music for free, with SFCV’s Free MP3 Download program. Every couple of weeks, we feature a different free download from some of the most renowned artists and ensembles in the world.
