Allegra offers an introduction to the choral experience for singers ages 9 to 11 years old. Singers in this ensemble develop vocal skills and musical literacy as the basis for challenging choral music. Singers also work on musicianship, sight-reading, and musical theory.
Repertoire is a beginning performance choir and stresses the fundamentals of choral singing. Choristers learn the basics of music literacy and sight-reading skills as well as developing the young voice. Singers also begin learning and performing songs in foreign languages.
Our young singers are excited about singing and love rehearsals. They develop stage presence, learn to use their voices in a healthful and natural way, sing a variety of styles, develop musicianship skills and learn how to create music as part of a team. Two levels are offered: Children's Choir (ages 5-7) and Chamber Singers (ages 8-10).

A specially balanced curriculum introduces musical concepts, builds self-esteem and helps motivate students. Classes include Guitar Team, Piano Team, Getting Ready for Piano, Getting Ready for Guitar, and Recorder Choir.

Our early childhood lessons serve students from 16 months to 5 years of age with our classes: Music for the Young Child, Toddler Music and Preschool Music.
