YPSO returns to live music performance with 4 concerts throughout this season – culminating in a Central European tour in June 2022!
This year we celebrate YPSO’s 85th season and Maestro David Ramadanoff’s 33rd season as Music Director/Conductor. He will be conducting 95 young musicians who range in age from 11 to 19, and hail from many Bay Area cities.
To kick it off, YPSO’s Fall Concert will feature young musicians performing Dvořák’s Carnival Overture, Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherezade, and Concerto Competition soloist from the 2019-2020 season, whose performances were postponed due to the pandemic shutdown –1st movement from Miaskovsky’s Cello Concerto and Poems by Charles Griffes - featuring Emile Serper and Chris Boyadjiev.
YPSO will also host a free open dress rehearsal program on Friday Nov 5th, 6:30pm for families with children ages 11 and under, and elementary/middle school classes accompanied by a teacher. Contact YPSO to make arrangements.
